Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme 2021

This scheme was introduced by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister by distributing laptops to seven students. Cooperative and aided college students are given the facility of the Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme to enhance their future. With this scheme, laptops will be provided free of cost to a total of 15.18 lakh students this year. The total cost for these free laptops is estimated to be Rs. 1,340.44 under TN Free Laptop Scheme.

The free laptop scheme was first started in the year 2011 by Chief Minister Selvi J. Jayalalithaa.
